2, Become the pirate hunter:
After several years from the day Zoro join the Dojo of Koshiro, he advanced incredibly and become a real swordman. He though he was ready to fulfill his promise, so he decided to leave his Dojo, find the greatest swordman in the world ( Drakule Mihawk) to challenge with him. If Zoro defeated that man, he would become the greatest and his name will reach the heaven.
Unfortunately, on his way to find the greatest opponent, Zoro got lost. Well, He really lack of orientation. Due to that incident, Zoro can't manage to go back to his vilage. No food, no water and no money, so he must kill some pirates to have money for living expense . He never plans to become a bounty hunter and never called himself like that, though he sometime killed pirate to have money. And one day he meet Johnny and Yosaku (Bounty hunters) when they faced off against the Dick Bandits ( Bounty: 10.000.000 Beri), Zoro kill that Bandits just to pay for the workman repairing his sword (Wadou Ichimonji). Johnny and Yosaku felt in love with his ability and they'd like to devote themselves to Zoro. And from that day, Zoro become their Aniki (Big Brother).
At that time Zoro can't control his power so he alway broke his sword when fighting. He had broken his katana several time before he learned how to prevent his swords from bkeaking by himself. The most effective way is to turn the sword into Black Blade (imbue it with Haki). And he learn that " A swordman must feel ashamed of having a nicked edge", of course a sword imbue with Haki even more powerful than it before.
