Luffy and the need of Gear 4

As you’ve known Luffy_ the boy ate Gomu- Gomu nomi ( rubber Devilfruit) come from East Blue. He sailded on the sea as captain of Straw Hat pirate with the ambition to become the pirate king_ who has everything include treasure One Piece and freedom.

1, Luffy and his accomplishments:

As you’ve known he is really strong. With his intelligence, creative skills, up to Gear (2, 3) he defeated a lot of well known opponent like: God Enel (Skypiea), Crocodile (Master of Baroque Works_ Shichibukai), Rob Lucci ( The Strongest man of CP9), Gekko Moriah ( Shichibukai),…

He seem like an invincible pirate, but it just the beginning of Grand line...

2, New world:

New world_ the sea of four emperors: Shank- Bigmom- Kaido- Black Beard.

More tronger pirates and alliances. Most of them have strong Haki and various abilities. It’s hard for people to survive. If you want to become the pirate king, not only survive, but also you must become the strongest pirate_ defeat four emperors and find out the geartest treasure “ One Piece”. (Every pirate in New World know that).

3, Sabaody_ the Gate of New world:

All of us saw what happened there. Luffy and his crew had no chance to match their opponents: Marine ( include: admiral Kizaru) and Kuma ( Shichibukai).

Luffy, Zoro and Sanji tried hard just to defeat only 1 Pacifista ( Most pirate in New World just use 1 hit to finish them). And they couldn’t even touch Kuma. Luffy can’t protect his friend and himself. It’s the first time he felt into the situation like that, the first time he asked his nakama to run away. He realized- he wasn’t strong enough for the next step_ Fishman Island.

4, Marineford_ the legend war.

One more time, Luffy made us impressed with his ability. He rioted the execution, beat a lot of Navy's soldiers, even the giant Vice Admiral ( with 1 hit of Gear 3).

But he couldn’t rescue Ace from the Navy- Ace was dead...

One more time, Luffy feel unfit. He saw his brother died but he couldn't do anything.

That mean Luffy had to train himself a lot and learn new techniques.

…

Learn to use, control his Haki and more.

So the new technique was born_ GEAR 4.

You can see that Gear 2+ Gear 3+ Haki = Gear 4 ( and it's make Luffy more exhausted than another abilities before) But of course this form make he is stronger several time, a great combination betwen Armament Haki and rubber balloon.

The first achivement of Gear 4 is to beat Doflamingo ( exactly, it’s Gear 4+ Kingkong)
