Marco the Phoenix.

Marco also Known as Marco the Phoenix- the former 1st division commander of WhiteBeard pirate. His first appearance is when Red hair Shanks had a short meeting with White Beard ( Chap 343- episode 316). In Marineford, he was one of people making Navy Soldiers afraid. And now after time skip, he was mentioned again. His next appearance’ll be very interesting. Now let spend a few minutes to discover about him.

1, Story and personality:

He was the first member who joined the WhiteBeard pirate. Base on his strength and his associate with Edward, we may say he is the right hand- man of him and the important member made that pirate crew became famous and gained a lot of achievements.

He is the kind of person who is quite comely. The first member made Ace realized why they called White Beard as “Pops” or “Old man”. Marco was one of crew’s members made Ace got on well and became a real part of that pirate crew.

2, The ability and combat skills:

Zoan Devil Fruit eater.
As we’ve known, Marco is a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit eater- He ate Phoenix fruit. According to Kizaru, it’s even rarer than Logia type. This type of Zoan helps him to avoid most of attacks like Logia eater ( Kizaru’s blow couldn’t touch him)- He is a Phoenix render. In Marineford he showed 3 form of his Devil Fruit ability ( Human- Mythical Animal- Combination).


Haki User.
He can use 2 kind of Haki: Armament Haki and Observation Haki.

Superior Kicks User.
Marco doesn’t use weapon to fight and he is really good at kicking, in the battle he transforms his arms into wings and always uses kicks to take his opponents down. We can see that in Marineford when he took care for Kizaru, Aokij, Akainu.

An experienced warrior.
Marco passed through a lot of battle with WhiteBeard and the crew so he is not only strong but also an experience pirate ( He asked the weaks go down stair when Shanks stepped on Moby Dick). And always appears in necessary areas in the battle: He abouted to save Ace when the Navy prepared to execute him; He prevented Akainu from pursuing Luffy. 

The nearest time he was mentioned by Master Nekomamushi (Ruler of night- Zou) about the preparation for the final battle with Kaido.
